Fresh Paint Gallery presents: Heaven and Earth, an exhibit with Portia La Touche

By Exhibit
Date: October 29, 2019 to January 5, 2020
Opening Reception: Saturday, November 2, 6:00 to 8:00 pm
Event Details: Fresh Paint Gallery of La Jolla presents "Heaven and Earth," an exhibit featuring works by Portia La Touche, Patrick Brown, Ellen Dieter, and Julia San Roman. The theme of this show is based on Portia's award-winning painting: "Heaven & Earth." Portia will have 4 other works: "Zen Destiny," "My Garden in Ink," "In the Weeds," and "Just Heaven and Earth" all expressing Portia's interpretation of this theme.

"When I imagine Heaven, I envision space and infinity, something celestial, but not ecclesiastic. I attempt to represent the feeling of heaven, or space, being huge and vast. In contrast, Earth to me means being grounded, solid, firm. Things are made from the earth, organic, so the colors I choose are definitely earthy.

There will be a big reception with wine, cheese and live music. Please join me!
Location: Fresh Paint Gallery, 1020-B Prospect Street, La Jolla 92037
