Description:Heze is the peony capital of China, and the Chinese love peonies. An otherwise charmless dusty town of 8 million, Heze has miles and miles of gorgeous public gardens filled with peonies. During the blooming season, April and May, millions of Chinese come to enjoy the flowers.
I was there in April 2013 with Ning Yeh, a famous Chinese Brush Painting Master, and was inspired to make this painting.
