Description:I was on a delightful adventure in Dixon, New Mexico, for one week with Helen Shafer-Garcia, a wonderful watercolor teacher, plus a group of artists. I had just gotten back in to watercolors after decades of doing other forms of artwork, so I was pleased to have Helen as our instructor and coach.
We hiked and painted every day, capturing the local flora and fauna. The magpies are magnificent birds, and here is my version.
