China Art Trip

San Diego, CA

American Artists Dream Journey, organized by Ning Yeh, master Chinese Brush Painter and his master organizer wife, Lingchi Yeh, of Oriental Art Supply. A three week journey in April of artists to Beijing, Zhengzhou, Heze, Qufu, Jinan, Shanghai, Tunxi and Hong Village, Huangshan (Yellow Mountains), Hangzhou and West Lake, and back to Beijing.

This was a trip of a lifetime for me! An amazing “Dream Journey to China” with Ning and Lingchi Yeh. Lingchi and Ning are gifted tour guides as well as gifted artists, and they showed us sights and shared experiences that any artist and admirer of Asian Brush Painting would treasure. Ning is a great lover of nature and philosopher of life, and he enriched every new vista with a fuller perspective on life and art than my humble eyes could capture alone.

Our first week was spent in Beijing studying painting with Su Bodou, professor of Institute of Chinese Traditional Arts and Culture of Beijing U. and head of China Meticulous Painting Research Section. Here is a photo of Professor Su and me with the calligraphy he painted for me.[/fusion_text][/two_third]
